Just because I live 20 minutes from there and am a bit of a trivia nut about these things, the Monte Cristo at Disneyland is no longer served at the Blue Bayou. It's on the menu at Cafe Orleans, an indoor/outdoor patio dining (full service) restaurant whose desk is just across the street from the Bayou.

If you guys ever want to come out here for a Monte Cristo dinner there, it's on me! :)

Deal!

Thanks for the info. I saw a couple places reference Cafe Orleans but they didn't include the details, so I went with the place it was originally served. Getting hungry just thinking about it.... :)

Okay, finally at the end of the ep. One more note: Dave mentioned in the Starlit Citidel ad that Airlines Europe was the second life for that design of Alan Moon. It was actually the THIRD! :) Airlines Europe was indeed a descendant of Union Pacific. But Union Pacific was an interation of design on Airlines, a 1990 Moon design (which I own and happen to like quite a lot). Interesing, huh?

Very interesting. Planes, then trains and now back to planes again.

Obviously a game with some staying power but also with a bit of an identity crisis!

Funnily enough I have just returned from a holiday in France and Belgium and have been enjoying the eponymous Croque Monsieur.

Although I have never read the original Count of Monte Cristo, I have read "The Stars' Tennis Balls" by Stephen Fry. I can highly recommend it for those who struggle with Dumas' original.

It's a modern retelling "virtually identical in all but period and style" (to quote Monsieur Fry)

I love Stephen Fry but I haven't read that one. Have to add it to my list.

Jealous you live close enough to France/Belgium to get real Croque Monsieurs...
