It's official! The Spiel Foundation = public charity

After more than a year submitting and re-submitting countless forms, the IRS gave us the green light today.

The Spiel Foundation is an official 501(c)3 public charity. Woo!

This tax exempt status will enable us to seek donations from larger sources and will give added incentive for anyone to contribute, since your donations will now be tax deductible.

I have worked many long hours on this, so it is such a great relief to have leapt over this major hurdle.

Now the real work (and fun) begins: being able to focus most of our efforts on donating games.

Guys, great job on becoming a public charity. I know the work and effort that went in to this has been arduous and required a great deal of time, but think of all the wonderful things you can do now. It was great before, now it can be stellar. I wish you all the best in your endeavors, and I will continue to support your show and the foundation as much as I can. God bless, The Provost.

Yes, indeed, Jason. We are looking forward to a bright future with the Spiel Foundation, especially now that so much of red tape battle has been won!

With folks like you behind us, we're sure to bring a lot of fun and games to people who can really use them.
