We humans are caught in a cosmic conversation with the Moon. Its monthly dance pulls at our planet. Nova Luna (New Moon) is the start of another cycle; it has come to symbolize a new beginning, a chance to plan for the future.

Nova Luna is an abstract game of new beginnings. Players select and place colored tiles from the Moon clock, hoping to create patterns which allow them to place scoring tokens on the tiles. As the moon moves through its cycle, new choices and strategies will arise. The moon will talk to you through her tiles. Listen close and you’ll make the right connection.

Tune in explore the game and discover why it earns our Spiel of Approval.

Stephen's Recipe - Crabwiches

Ingredients

1 stick Butter, softened
1 jar Old English Cheese Spread (Kraft) 1 7oz. can Lump Crabmeat
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 1⁄2 tsp Mayonnaise
Dash Garlic Powder
6 English Muffins

Preheat oven to broil. Combine butter and cheese spread. Add mayo, Worcestershire, and garlic powder until well mixed. Spread mixture onto English muffins.

Freeze the muffins with the spread for at least 10 minutes.

NOTE: you can leave the crabwiches frozen at this stage for use later. We often make a double batch to have a quick appetizer on hand.

Remove from freezer and cut muffins into small wedges (make them bite- sized).

Place oven rack at highest level. Broil the wedges for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

Serves 12.

Stephen's Recipe - Cheese Pennies

Ingredients

2 Cups All Purpose Flour
2 Cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated 2 sticks Butter, softened
2-4 tbsp Cold water
2 Cups Rice Krispies
1 tsp Salt
Dash of Worcestershire Sauce
Preheat oven to 400

Combine flour, cheese, butter and salt in large bowl. Add cold water to moisten as needed. Fold Rice Krispies and Worcestershire into dough. Form dough into 1” balls (a melon baller works well) and place onto an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten balls with a fork in a criss- cross pattern (like a peanut butter cookie).

Bake for 12-15 minutes. Makes 3-4 dozen.
