Caribbean Boardgame Cruise

By yellek - Posted on 30 August 2007

I remember hearing in the last week an interview from GenCon talking about a couple of board game cruises to the Caribbean in the new year. I thought it was The Spiel but I can't find a link in the show notes. Does anyone have a link to more information?

We did an interview with Kim from Strategic Retreat Adventures and they do gamer cruises to the Carribean and the Mexican Riviera.

There is a link in the show notes for episode 36, but I'll repost it here.

Hope this helps.

Spiel on!

I asked this question in another thread before noticing this one. When are we scheduling the Spiel boardgaming cruise? My wife and I listened to that episode together. She said she would love to do something like that. I really like the idea that gamers with non-gaming spouses could bring them along. There would be plenty to do apart from the boardgaming. Stephen, why don't you set it up in your free time? I'll start working on my tan.

Scotty, you're from Mississippi. Don't you have a tan already? It's us pasty Hoosier boys who need the tans!

The game cruise thing has come up several times in our conversations recently. It really is a good idea. It would be a great way to get to play and meet a lot of people while not having to be in the vaccuum sealed environment of a convention.

I didn't think cruise director would be one of the hats I would wear when we started this podcast! But if the Game Sommelier can go to Mars, surely we can do a test run to the Bahamas...

I'm for a Spiel cruise as well, but can we fit a cruise ship into the White River?

Hey now, who says you can't play Carcassonne in a canoe!

Or a pontoon....

Nothing but first class accommodations on this cruise.

Many of us have been talking about taking a cruise together. A long weekend of board games, endless food, relaxing. Every geeks dream weekend.

You can reference my reservation number 210-780-14 or The “Board game cruise”
