Honshu is a map building card game set in feudal Japan. You control a noble house, trying to expand your influence and fame over new lands.

Cards are played in tricks much like a classic card game. The winner of each trick will get first choice of the cards played to add to his or her map. Each card you play must overlap with cards already in your domain. This means each card you add becomes a challenging mini-puzzle to solve.

Arrange your map to score points for cities, forests and lakes or create production engines that will fuel factories or give you more power to win tricks.

Honshu is deceptively simple, fast and fun

Tune in to explore the game and learn why it deserves the Spiel of Approval Award!

Complete Show Notes continue after the break.
